Tempest in a Tea Cup

teacupsSo, somehow I’ve managed to acquire about a zillion tea cups and saucers. I’m brainstorming ideas to turn them into something fun. Now, if I can just find a glue that permanently adheres china to china. Anyone have suggestions?

I don’t know if you’ve seen this - I’ll try to describe it and then maybe you can search. Get some of the epoxy you mentioned and a fountain kit. Then assemble your teacups artfully with the epoxy around the fountain kit - and an old fauctet - in a washtub (maybe with a teapot and plenty of vintage teaspoons). Make it look as though it’s tub of dirty teacups from a teaparty. Arrange them so that the water flows gracefully from one cup to another. I’ve seen it - OMG it’s so cute!

That sounds so adorable. I’ve used one as a “book handle” by cutting it in half and gluing the half with the handle to the front of my altered book, but I have at least 16 to go in the set I really don’t want and about 30 in the other set of semi-good china.

i don’t know if you have done anything with these teacups but they are the exact match to a set i have been trying to complete. any interest in selling them?

wow, this was posted forever ago!

but I’m re designing my room alice in wonderland themed, because even though I’m 17, and i ought to be mature and responsible and blah blah blah, I’m doing it. but, i mentioned to a friend that i was doing it and I was gonna get teacups and put candles in them and melt them into the teacups, and it’d be cute, he said i should glue them to the wall, and after some consideration, I came up with this.

with the help of a rod saw, cut them in half, get some tile glue [whatever its called, like for bathrooms...] and affix them in some sort of pattern to a room divider, so its temporary.

    hope this helped somehow!
