wow, this was posted forever ago!

but I'm re designing my room alice in wonderland themed, because even though I'm 17, and i ought to be mature and responsible and blah blah blah, I'm doing it. but, i mentioned to a friend that i was doing it and I was gonna get teacups and put candles in them and melt them into the teacups, and it'd be cute, he said i should glue them to the wall, and after some consideration, I came up with this.

with the help of a rod saw, cut them in half, get some tile glue [whatever its called, like for bathrooms...] and affix them in some sort of pattern to a room divider, so its temporary.

hope this helped somehow!

Vicki,
Why, yes, I am. I used a squeegee with notched cut out, but a comb with regular spacing would create a sort of similar effect, I think.

I can't wait to see your page. It sounds like it will be great.

Are you by any chance planning to do 118 of those? I like what you are doing - do you use a special comb or just one you would buy for combing hair?

My technique is gel medium transfer and I haven't begun yet, but I've been collecting interesting ephemera and pictures and patterns to use.

That sounds so adorable. I've used one as a "book handle" by cutting it in half and gluing the half with the handle to the front of my altered book, but I have at least 16 to go in the set I really don't want and about 30 in the other set of semi-good china.

I don't know if you've seen this - I'll try to describe it and then maybe you can search. Get some of the epoxy you mentioned and a fountain kit. Then assemble your teacups artfully with the epoxy around the fountain kit - and an old fauctet - in a washtub (maybe with a teapot and plenty of vintage teaspoons). Make it look as though it's tub of dirty teacups from a teaparty. Arrange them so that the water flows gracefully from one cup to another. I've seen it - OMG it's so cute!
