Ooooh! I have one of those piles too, the piece of cut off jeans, pine cones, old buttons, scrap metal that are all perfect for something but I'm not sure what piles:-) Thanks for the sticker organization ideas. I don't have tons of stickers, but the stickers I have are just thrown into plastic bags right now with no order at all!

Hi Katelyn
I've been doing a huge re-organization in my studio this week, too! Is there something in the air? Must be spring cleaning time! It seems to me that things get hugely chaotic once the clean/clear/re-organize starts happening. I always groan and wonder why I started. But it's bliss to have the re-shaping done, isn't it? Well... I don't think it's ever really done.... there are all those bits and pieces of of ephemera that seem to float around the studio. Ah well... some day.... LOL!

It really is hard to throw out something that you know would some day be a great part of a project. I've been trying to be more selective lately, though, because that Hoarders show completely freaks me out. If I want to keep another clothing, purse, or whatever tag, I have to get rid of one. Usually, I end up doing a piece of art to use it up so I can keep the new one. If I have something that would be cool for someone else, I try to pass it on. Like decorative tins. I just bagged up a bunch because I haven't been punching very many decorative elements out of them lately and I know someone who works almost exclusively with recycling tins into art.

Great organizing tips! Thank you. I also laughed at your description of how artists view all the stuff other people want to just throw away.

I'm laughing at your description here, because I can so relate. When you're a craft person everything looks like it has some use, right? Sounds like you've got a handle on it, and the envelope idea is a great one for stickers.
