My Mimosa tree lost limbs in the last big storm and I had to move all the houses, feeders, etc. that were in it. This little guy loved the Mimosa and was not at all happy about the move.
For a tiny guy, he can sure make a racket when he is mad!

This is a Halloween card I whipped up for my sister and her family. I went for cute because she has little guys. The tree branch is cut from a vintage dictionary page and the owl and moon are from a piece of orange cardstock. I added a pattern by running a stamp pad over sequin waste and then inked in the wings and tail. I doodled the slightly creepy branch that is reaching for the owl with a glitter gel pen.
I’m still working away on things for Suzi Blu’s class. I’ll have to take some pictures. I did some more work on one of my older pieces. I don’t think it is quite done. Something more in the background maybe…
Bad, bad cat.
I don’t draw bunnies often. Can you tell? I am still so cross with that rotten cat. It’s bad enough when cats kill things, but she just brings them in and lets them go so she has indoor playthings.
If you don’t know there’s a frog in the house, you can’t give it water and bugs and it dries up and dies. Snakes…I think I found them all, but she brought half the garter snake nest in one at a time this spring and relocated them to the art studio. Mice and moles and voles all over the place. And now, baby bunnies. Bad cat!
I’m starting a new journal because my last one is pretty full. This one just has a quick cover. I didn’t feel like taking the whole thing apart to do the cover right so you can see some of the original cover. Shame on me.
Anyway, it is still more fun to write in than a red and green book that says Sketch Diary on it. I’ll share a few of the pages. Typical pet related rants and daily minutia, but it is amazing how therapeutic it is to write it all down!
