I’ve joined the hordes of crafty women who are falling for Japanese craft books. I bought several from Amazon before I found out I could get free shipping through yesasia.com. Now, I can get an extra book for the price of shipping! Also, I did a search for coupons and when you order for the first time, there are several out there, so be sure to search for Yes Asia coupons before you order any books. I can’t wait for my next shipment to arrive.
By the way, right now I have:
ISBN #4-579-11115-X
This is a great book for anyone who wants to make felt floral decorations and a pretty little half oval purse.
ISBN #4-529-04173-5
This one has a fantastic little purse the reminds me of Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilts. A few other cute purse designs, too.
I loaded a whole stack of new images into my Flickr account, including a bunch of cute Victorian kitties. (And a few downright odd ones, too.) If you use any, I’d love to see what you made!

I am now the Crafty Librarian, according to an article in the local newspaper. It’s not a bad title and goes well with my blog name…Seriously, I do tend to do a lot of craft related programs for the kids and teens, but I didn’t realize I was getting a reputation.
This article was about a button wreath program and the kids had a great time. I absolutely recommend it for anyone who is looking for a craft project for girl scouts, church youth groups, etc. For a ton of inspiration, you can check out the Flickr group Button Wreaths Galore
So, somehow I’ve managed to acquire about a zillion tea cups and saucers. I’m brainstorming ideas to turn them into something fun. Now, if I can just find a glue that permanently adheres china to china. Anyone have suggestions?
